The earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of
God. Why is that? Because creation itself longs to be delivered from bondage.
This begins when a believer embarks on a journey of transformation from a childish and
slavish mentality to that of a son. Sonship is a position of dominion, where we exercise authority and ownership of what God has given us.
How do you know that someone is truly loyal? Loyalty is not declared in words;
it is revealed over time through relationship and response. An infant, though deeply loved, cannot yet be counted as loyal because they have not been tested or proven. In the same way, our walk with God is a journey from spiritual childhood into sonship.
As you read the words of these pages, remember that you are deeply loved. Even if you have fallen short in some way, or are probably in prison serving time, or are nursing guilt for something you know you shouldn’t have done but did. Fall in the arms of Jesus, who paid for your freedom; accept and acknowledge his sacrifice, then obtain mercy.
To find the kingdom of God is to find life as God intended it for mankind. There is no life outside the kingdom of God. Jesus came to show us the kingdom of God and to make it possible for us to operate as citizens of that kingdom. That is what John 10:10 is about: “…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
One of the most essential tools you must carry with you throughout the year is faith—Bible faith. This is your lifeline. Scripture teaches us that “above all, taking the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one” (Ephesians 6:16 NKJV). Faith is not optional; it is a shield, meant to be worn at all times.
