Hope Championships

Once every year, teenagers (13-19) and young adults (20-35) from neigbouring communities in Uganda’s cities come together for a season of competitive sports under the Hope Championships banner – a ministry of the Youth of Promise (YoP).

Hope Championships cultivate a spirit of teamwork, discipline, character and hard work among the youth within an atmosphere of faith, excellence and a godly environment.

Bunamwaya Hope Championship, the pioneer chapter of Hope Championships mission operation, brings together football teams from the eight villages of Bunamwaya Parish – the home parish of Abundant Life Faith Centre.

2023 Facts & Figures

The Youth Ministry of Abundant Life Faith Center Ministries organized the ALFC Community Initiative – Parish Sports Gala (Men’s Football), held from May 20 to May 28, 2023, at the ALFC Football Ground. This event served as both an evangelism tool for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and a platform for fostering harmony and cooperation within the community.

Six community teams participated in the event: Abundant Life Ministry Team, Abundant Life Community Team, Lubowa Cell Team, Kabowa Team, Bodaboda Roofings Stage Team, and Matooke Stage Seguku Team. The finalists were Kabowa Team and Lubowa Cell Team, with Kabowa emerging as the champions. They received the trophy, a he-goat, and medals, while the Lubowa Team took home silver medals.
